Our Team:
Glen Merwin
Glen retired on June 30, 2021 after practicing for 47 years in the optical business. During these years he has served over 5 generations in Fort St. John and is missed by all his customers and the staff members.
Snehal Mistry
Snehal, a licensed optician and a long-term employee, is the new owner of Merwin optical. He has over 15 years of experience in the industry, hails from the family of opticians and is the third generation in the optical business. He also provides service at the FSJ hospital, where he performs Eye Measurements (A & K scans) for patients needing cataract surgery. In his free time, he likes to play cricket and he is also the Vice president of NPCF, a cricket club in fort St John.
Nainesh Mistry
Nainesh, also a licensed optician in India, owned an optical store for 40 long years and has sold that practice and moved to Fort St. John to be with his son, Snehal. He uses his expertise and skills in the lab, where he edges the lenses to ensure a perfect fit in the frame, allowing Merwin Optical to provide 1 hour on site service to their customers.
Chelsee
Chelsee has lived in Peace region her whole life and is our newest Optician. She has over 9 years experience in the industry and is happy to serve the community she grew up in. When she's not busy assisting patients finding their perfect pair of glasses, she likes to read and hike the trails around the area
